New details surrounding Brock Lesnar's new WWE contract are revealed [MMA Fighting]

Brock Lesnar made history at Crown Jewel last Friday by becoming the first-ever two-time WWE Universal Champion.

Not many expected the outcome, but like it or hate it, we all have to deal with another reign for the part-time Lesnar.

The majority of the WWE Universe expected Strowman to fly home from the Middle East with a new shiny red belt over his shoulder, but his search for gold in the company rumbles on.

As it turns out, several potential reasons for Strowman not being victorious have emerged - it's either to do with two hurt knees or his backstage etiquette.

Regardless of whatever reason it is for the decision, don't be shocked if there's no Universal Champion on Raw after Survivor Series until Royal Rumble time, as is usually the case when it comes to Lesnar.

Lesnar was expected to depart from WWE for another shot at UFC glory after Crown Jewel, after his appearance at UFC 226 where he confronted Daniel Cormier, almost WWE-esque in the way it occurred.

Technically his suspension for a failed drugs test isn't completed until January, but there's nothing stopping him from getting into a training camp for a bout - apart from potentially a huge WWE contract.

That's right, because of the unfortunate Roman Reigns situation, Vince McMahon secretly offered Lesnar a brand-new deal right before the Crown Jewel show.

And wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer has revealed in an article posted on MMA Fighting that backstage plans see Lesnar's last appearance under his current contract coming at WrestleMania 35, which is in five months time in April.

Considering that the UFC would probably want Lesnar to face Cormier in early 2019, it poses some interesting scenarios between the two companies - but the new contract doesn't stop Brock from partaking in the bout.

Add to the fact that McMahon would probably relish seeing a WWE belt inside the Octagon as a spot of cross-promotion, and rumours of Cormier joining as a commentator in 2019, everything seems to add up.
