WWE fans are far from pleased after SmackDown's mens Survivor Series team is confirmed

After the Raw versus SmackDown theme was confirmed for the upcoming Survivor Series, eyes all turned towards the mens elimination match that is surely going to main event in Los Angeles.

On Monday night, acting Raw GM Baron Corbin confirmed the first three of the red brand's line-up, being Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre and the Monster Among Men - Braun Strowman.

And last night's SmackDown Live opened with Shane McMahon and Paige deciding on who would lead the Tuesday night show into the bout.

In the end, it was decided that bitter rivals Daniel Bryan and The Miz would co-captain the team, and throughout the night the squad was eventually completed.

Firstly, the A-lister selected the newly-crowned 'Best In The World' McMahon, with Bryan choosing Rey Mysterio, and with only one spot left, SmackDown was main evented by each other's final picks to decide who would claim it - Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe.

Joe ended up reversing a Swanton Bomb into a Coquina Clutch to secure his place at Survivor Series to finalise what looks like a great team - but the majority of WWE fans weren't happy at one particular pick.

That one was the inclusion of Shane, with some feeling that there are more deserving and talented superstars on the roster that should be taking his place.

Coupled up with the fact he won the WWE World Cup tournament under bizarre circumstances, WWE must have been expecting this reaction, right?

Despite playing down his achievements in Saudi Arabia, the crowd in Manchester still booed his arrival last night, which must be a first since his 2016 return.

The fans make a perfectly valid point as well - the likes of Hardy, Randy Orton, Luke Harper and Andrade 'Cien' Almas all don't have a place on the pay-per-view currently, with Orton probably making the most sense at this point.

But it looks like we will be seeing Shane O'Mac in the ring once again in less than two weeks time.
