Bobby Lashley and The Bella Twins turn heel on WWE Raw

WWE has kicked off some major storylines for Evolution later in October and Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia in November last night on Monday Night Raw.

Not only did they confirm the return of D-Generation X vs The Brothers of Destruction, but they also booked the first two contestants for the WWE World Cup, that being John Cena and a returning Kurt Angle.

WWE also switched up a match on the Evolution card by changing the Trish Stratus vs Alexa Bliss match into a tag team match. Stratus will team up with Lita, while Bliss will team up with Mickie James.

Alongside these changes, WWE also developed some other storylines on Raw for the two upcoming pay-per-views by initiating two heel turns on the show.

First off, Bobby Lashley turned heel for the first time since he returned to the company earlier this year.

On WWE's red brand, Lashley faced Kevin Owens and was able to win following distractions from his manager, Lio Rush.

After the match, Lashley attacked Owens by repeatedly slamming his legs into the ring post. WWE later announced on their website that The Prizefighter had sustained knee injuries due to the attack.

These seem more like storyline injuries than anything else, but we'll have to wait and see how the feud between Lashley and Owens develops to know for sure.

Later, The Bella Twins turned heel on Ronda Rousey following their Super Show-Down rematch alongside the Raw Women's Champion against The Riott Squad.

Rousey and The Bella Twins were able to defeat The Riott Squad once more, but after the match, Nikki Bella attacked Rousey from behind.

Nikki and Brie confirmed their heel turn by continuing their beatdown of the Raw Women's Champion in the middle of the ring before making their way backstage.

The Bella Twins explained their reason for attacking Rowdy later on to WWE's YouTube when they were asked why they attacked someone who was on their side.

Brie said: “Been by our side? You mean taking up our space. Standing in front of us. Taking our shine. Is that what you mean?”

Nikki added: “Brie and I are here for Evolution, but we’re here to remind everyone — even Ronda Rousey — that this is a Bella-lution.”

Due to this turn, it was later confirmed that Nikki will be challenging Rousey for the Raw Women's Championship at Evolution on October 28.
