Daniel Bryan issued a heartfelt tweet about wife Brie Bella after last week's botch on Raw

We are now over a week-removed from Brie Bella's botch on Monday Night Raw, as she legitimately knocked out Riott Squad member Liv Morgan during a six-woman tag match.

Bella gained notable attention for all the wrong reasons after landing not one, but two kicks to the face of Morgan.

After trying to continue the match, Morgan was pulled out by WWE doctors, and was visibly being assessed at ringside, despite Michael Cole stating she was being checked over backstage.

Some have argued that Morgan is also to blame for originally over-selling the moves, whilst others have solely blamed Brie for being reckless.

Despite the injury, Morgan returned to the red brand last night is ready to go for the huge tag match on Saturday at Super Show-Down, where the Bella Twins and Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey will clash with the Riott Squad.

One man who's obviously going to side with Brie is her husband, Daniel Bryan.

The former WWE Champion posted a heartfelt tweet yesterday backing his wife, where he raises lots of valid points.

"I am proud of how strong my wife is," started Bryan.

"After accidentally injuring Liv Morgan last week, the first time Bri’s ever hurt another performer, she’s been subject to a constant barrage of social media attacks.

"Almost every wrestler has accidentally hurt someone but rarely do you see this kind of hate when it happens. For example, I concussed Randy Orton in 2012 after hitting him with what was supposed to be a chair to the back.

"Unfortunately part of the side hit him in the back of the head, and he was forced to miss a PPV. In 2009 in our last match against each other, I concussed Nigel McGuinness after doing a dive into him in the crowd, where his head hit the floor."

Regarding the move that was the reason Morgan was knocked unconscious, Bryan continued: "As for the Yes kicks, two weeks ago I accidentally kicked Andrade [Almas] directly in the head due to a miscommunication on my part.

"I feel fortunate that he was ok, because there are few feelings worse than hurting someone.

"Despite all of that, never did I receive the backlash Bri did this week. With all the negative things said about my wife, nobody was harder on her than she was on herself.

"Thank you to the many people who reached out to support her, both publicly and privately. We all wish Liv Morgan a speedy recovery. #EndCyberbullying"

You simply can't argue with Bryan's message, it's a powerful one and he's obviously been on the receiving end of accidental injuries, as well as ones he's mistakenly handed out.

And WWE fans could do well to remember that when scapegoating a superstar.
