The Giants just might get a deal worked out.

The ongoing saga of the contract talks between the New York Giants and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. might be coming to an end based on a recent report that has surfaced on the internet.

The star played college football at Louisiana State University (LSU) where he would have a successful run there that led to him being drafted by the Giants in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft with the 12th overall pick.

Since then, he has been a highlight machine making some incredible catches and plays for a franchise that has been on the decline in recent years with an aging quarterback in Peyton Manning’s little brother, Eli.

Wide receivers are like icing on a cake. It’s good and you like it and need to have it, but the cake is what you want which is a quarterback as that is the person who wins and loses games for not only the team, officials and fans.

Since getting into the National Football League, Beckham has been one of the most productive players but also brings drama as he has had some off the field incidents that has gotten him into some hot water.

In 2016 only, he became the fastest player in NFL history to reach 200 career receptions. He was able to snap 4,000 career receiving yards.

"I definitely think it's going to work itself out," Beckham said last week, per ESPN. "When is it going to happen? You don't know.

That is the business side that is new to me in a sense. This is the first time I've ever had to deal with this or go through any of this.

"I believe it will work itself out. It's a matter of time. Just like everything in life, it's timing."

Based on a report, the two sides have reportedly made progress towards a deal that would no doubt be record-breaking as ESPN.com's Jordan Raanan reports that there is now "reasonable optimism" in the deal.

An agreement by the team and reps for the player is believed to be reached by the season opener for the Giants.

That games comes against the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 9th. If this deal is reached then it means he would beat out Tampa Bay's Mike Evans as he owns the record.

Evans’ deal is the highest guarantee ($55 million) among all receivers. He gonna make bank for sure.
