Giants' Odell Beckham Jr. gives his true feelings on his iconic one-handed catch

Odell Beckham Jr. of the New York Giants is widely known as one of the best wide receivers that plays in the NFL today with 382 catches, 5,356 yards, 43 touchdowns, and three Pro Bowls to his name.

However, there's always one catch which many NFL fans remember, the famous one-handed touchdown catch from November 23, 2014, against the Dallas Cowboys.

Beckham's gravity-defying one-handed catch against the Cowboys propelled him from Giants rookie to world superstar overnight as the catch made headlines around the world.

Yet, during an interview with ESPN, the three-time Pro Bowler stated that he wants to be known for more than just the famous catch he made four years ago this very week.

He said: "It's bittersweet because I think my career is much more than one catch. But it was a very iconic moment and just a prolific moment in my career. I don't mind getting tagged on Instagram and seeing a bunch of nice catches. It gives me motivation to do something crazier."

Since the catch, which has gone down as one of the greatest catches in NFL history, the Giants star has become the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history with a deal that could top $95 million.

"Honestly, any time some one-hand catch comes up, anything happens comes up and you hear the talks. It's funny when people are like, 'He's only this one-handed catch, blah, blah.' Yet any time a catch happens, I'm compared to it.

"It was a moment that obviously changed my life forever, for better or for worse, whatever you want to call it. It changed my life.

"There is no way that I can ever forget about that moment. I can tell you, I remember the smell of the stadium. I can remember it all. So it's a very special moment."

The wide receiver is having a relatively good season despite his team sitting on an unimpressive 3-7 record. He has 69 catches for 932 yards and five touchdowns in 10 games.

Beckham will get another chance to prove he's more than just a catch when the Giants play against the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend at Lincoln Financial Field.
