The fascinating chat Jordan Spieth had with his caddie before incredible Masters shot

American professional golfer Jordan Spieth and his caddie Michael Greller form an excellent team, with the duo combining many-a-time in the past to produce some remarkable results.

The sunny afternoon on Sunday at the Masters saw yet another splendid moment, with Greller coming up with some sound advice for the golfer to hit an almost perfect shot on the 13th hole.

The incident happened while chasing Patrick Reed on the leaderboard, when Spieth was in the pine needles after his drive on the par 5 on the 13th.

The conversation between the pair ended up with the three-time major winner hitting a spectacular second shot, setting himself up for an eagle putt, aiming for the second green jacket of his pro career.

Greller convinced Spieth to change clubs ahead of the crucial shot, as the former-math teacher advised him to switch to a hybrid instead of making the shot with an iron.

Spieth ultimately listened to his caddie, which produced an outstanding outcome.

The following is excerpts of the conversation between Speith and Greller:

GRELLER: You got, 211, 230, adjusted.

SPIETH: It's a 4-iron, right? Stock 4-iron? What's it to fly (inaudible)? I could hit hybrid as well and play a fade. What's the wind doing?

GRELLER: East-Northeast off the right. . . . I like the hybrid more than that.

SPIETH: It's 230 hole?

GRELLER: Yeah.

SPIETH: How do you feel?

GRELLER: I see it fits the the shape of the hole better, it gives you more margin or room. You know? I feel like a 4-iron is perfect. But if it gets right at all. . .

SPIETH: The lie's OK, I kind of have to hit it a groove low.

GRELLER: OK.

SPIETH: But I still like this. If I hit it long left, it's still not bad, you know?

GRELLER: No, I agree. What's your start line?

SPIETH: I'm at the middle of the green bunker. You said it's off the right a little?

GRELLER: Yeah, I just don't feel much right here.

SPIETH: Yeah, I know. But it's not off the left. It's no wind.

GRELLER: Correct, yeah. Look at your target.

The 24-year-old was not able to convert the eagle chance, however, the tap-in birdie summed up his brilliant final round 64 display, which nearly ended being one of the all-time greatest comebacks in the history of the sport.

The spectators at the final round at the Augusta National Golf Club witnessed another epic moment this weekend and this would certainly not be the last that Spieth and Greller team up to produce some spectacular sequences on the golf turf.
