David Haye names the heavyweight boxer he thinks should be on Tyson Fury's radar

Tyson Fury's return to boxing has been the talk of 2018.

It's been well documented that ever since he defeated Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf back in November 2015, things haven't been smooth for him.

From mental battles and controversial comments, to health problems, Fury was always in the spotlight, and not always for the right reasons.

However, The Gypsy King is back and raring to get his career back on track, and that is something that has got the whole boxing world talking.

Now, one of Fury's former foes has discussed his return, and that's none other than David Haye.

Haye feels that a possible heavyweight bout with Derek Chisora could await Fury somewhere down the line.

Mancunian Fury is preparing for his second fight since returning from his drugs ban that kept him out of action for several months.

Fury beat Sefer Seferi, who retired after four rounds of the fight, and now turns his attention to Francesco Pianeta, who he will step into the ring in Belfast next Saturday.

Having battled back from a ban which saw him absent from boxing since beating Klitschko in November 2015, the 29-year-old is aiming for a big fight.

American Deontay Wilder has been linked with a Fury bout should the British boxer beat Pianeta in the Northern Irish capital, and according to both parties, it could genuinely happen in November or December.

However, former heavyweight champion Haye believes Chisora could be the ideal opponent.

“You’ve got Dereck Chisora," Haye stated.

“Everyone thought he was washed up, but he’s proven he’s back in the world class.

“He took on Carlos Takam who was a heavy favourite going into that fight and Chisora – credit to him – rolled back the years and put on a world-class performance.

“The heavyweight division is looking very exciting and very entertaining.

"Tyson Fury holds two victories over Chisora already, but the Chisora that he holds victory over doesn’t seem as good as today’s Chisora.

“So, things are looking really healthy.

“There are plenty of fights for him if he can get into the ring in one piece.”
