David Haye has revealed who punches harder: Bellew, Wilder or Klitschko

David Haye has cautioned Oleksandr Usyk of the raw power possessed by Tony Bellew ahead of this weekend’s world title fight at the Manchester Arena.

Haye believes that ‘The Bomber’ can shock the world and bow out of boxing as a unified world champion.

‘The Hayemaker’ has revealed his fellow Brit is a ‘brawler in the ring’ and has superior punch-power than any other cruiserweight in the division.

The 38-year-old promoter even ranked his rival’s blows above heavyweight legend Wladimir Klitschko and current champ Deontay Wilder.

The Liverpudlian has promised ‘absolute war’ in Manchester and revealed his desperation to end his career in style and become the first British man to be crowned an undisputed world champion in a boxing ring.

Bellew’s self-belief was boosted by career wins over Haye, a former WBA world heavyweight champion, which encouraged him to put retirement plans on hold so he could take on the Ukrainian cruiserweight recognised as one the the best boxers in the world.

Usyk, 31, arrives in supreme form after a dominant victory over Russia’s Murat Gassiev in the World Boxing Super Series in July, and is now being talked about as a future opponent for Bellew’s compatriot Anthony Joshua, the WBA, IBF, and WBO world heavyweight champion.

The Ukrainian is undefeated after 15 professional bouts, having won European, World and Olympic gold in a decorated amateur career.

‘The Cat’ is the first boxer in history to hold all four cruiserweight belts and is the heavy favourite going into the contest considering his pedigree.

Bellew has re-iterated his preference of being labelled ‘the underdog’ and has stated he feeds off anger and negativity, and wants ‘the fight beaten out of him.’

‘The Hayemaker’ has weighed in on his predictions and believes the Ukrainian will have his back against the wall against one of the world’s most formidable punchers.

“Usyk is not a big KO specialist, which works in Tony’s favour,” Haye told TalkSPORT on the Alan Brazil Breakfast Show.

“Usyk will be wanting to win this fight on points over 12 rounds, so Tony needs to land that bomb and really let that left hook fly, because if he can catch Usyk on the button…

“I can tell you first-hand that he punched way harder than cruiserweight. Believe me, I’ve been hit by Wladimir Klitschko, I’ve been hit by Deontay Wilder, I've been hit by some of the biggest and hardest-hitting heavyweights on the planet and none of them have put me down like Tony Bellew did in our last fight.

“So going on current form, you’d have to say Tony Bellew is the knock-out specialist, and going into a fight which he needs a knock-out in, you can’t get better preparation than the stoppage victories he’s had over the last couple of years.”
