What's happened in Deontay Wilder training sessions is a real concern for Tyson Fury

WBC champion Deontay Wilder has demonstrated his raw power in training, as three members of his team were taken to hospital after sustaining injuries.

Head coach Jay Deas has revealed that he was just one of three of the Wilder team that required surgery and needed a trip to Alabama hospital.

‘The Bronze Bomber’ is arguably the biggest puncher on the planet, with a CV totalling 39 knockouts in 40 fights.

Wilder and Fury’s undefeated records will be on the line, as will the WBC heavyweight championship when the two collide in the ring at the Staples Centre, in Los Angeles, on December 1.

The pair have been at each others throats over the past month, as a brawl ensued at their latest press conference and more recently when the Alabama native demonstrated his power in front of his rival, by delivering a right hook to a burrito mascot on Nacion ESPN in Mexico.

Wilder then took to his training team, as the 33-year-old left three colleagues in agony during pad and mitt training.

Head coach Jay Deas is obviously aware of the damage that his fighter can inflict with just one clean shot, and explained why the team members were hospitalised in a recent interview.

“I’ve had a hernia surgery where he hit me just under the body protector, on my side," he remarkably revealed.

“I noticed it hurt, but I just kept working away. But it kept hurting and hurting and hurting.

“So finally I went to the doctor and he said ‘you need hernia surgery!’ I was like ‘what!?’

“He also separated Mark Breland’s shoulder when Mark was doing the mitts and he dislocated coach Cuz’s thumb.

“We are the only team who have three mitt men.”

Fury is known for his elusive nature in the ring, compared to Wilder’s brawling approach, a clash of styles that should thrill a sold-out crowd in Los Angeles come December.

Fury will need to put on a premier defensive display if he hopes to survive, as Wilder has vowed to get his 40th KO early and test the chin of ‘The Gypsy King.’
