Tyson Fury disagreed with Frank Warren on where Deontay Wilder rematch should be held

Tyson Fury has hinted he would like a potential rematch with Deontay Wilder to take place at Old Trafford in the summer of next year.

The 30-year-old drew with Wilder in Los Angeles on Saturday in his bid to win the WBC heavyweight title from the American.

However, it wasn't that simple on the night.

It's well thought that Fury outboxed Wilder for the majority of the night, comfortably winning the majority of the rounds.

But, two costly knockdowns in round nine and 12 respectively clearly cost Fury in the eyes of the judges, who had it down as a draw.

One had Wilder winning, one had Fury winning, whilst the other had it tied, meaning the lucrative fight had to end in stalemate.

Ever since the fight, the rematch has been screamed for my boxers, fans and promoters alike, but this time, in England.

Manchester-born Fury was in attendance at Old Trafford last night as Manchester United drew 2-2 with Arsenal on Wednesday in the Premier League.

Speaking to BT Sport at half-time, he said: “Frank Warren (his promoter) said Arsenal but I said ‘No, let’s have it at Old Trafford’.

"Hopefully we can have it here in the summer.”

Fury was denied one of the greatest comebacks in boxing history after scores of 115-111, 112-114 and 113-113 over the weekend.

He impressively out-boxed the champion, although Wilder retained the title having knocked the Briton down in the ninth round, and again in the 12th.

So it looks like both Fury and Wilder are keen on the rematch, and all that's left is to find a venue big enough to host it.

Wembley Stadium is the usual arena for big boxing events, just ask Anthony Joshua who has already sold it out numerous times, but it seems like the Gypsy King has his eyes set on the hallowed turf of Old Trafford.
