Video of Eddie Hearn talking about Fury before Wilder fight is just so ironic now

The heavyweight division really is in the best shape it has been for many years.

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury's epic battle in Los Angeles will be forever remembered by boxing fans, despite the controversial decision to label the fight a draw by the judges.

Fury's remarkable resurrection from the canvas after Wilder's devastating 12th-round knockdown is simply one of the most iconic moments the sport has seen.

It seems inevitable that there will be a rematch between the pair and it could see Wilder v Fury make the trip to British shores.

Then you have to factor Anthony Joshua into the mix, the holder of three of the four heavyweight straps.

Intriguing times for the division and Wilder v Fury was a stern reminder of just how exciting heavyweight boxing can be.

However, in the build-up to the fight, Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn was adamant that the Gypsy King was a 'boring' fighter.

In beautifully ironic fashion, one Twitter user has created a video montage of all of Hearn's quotes slamming Fury's style and entertainment value.

You can just picture Team Fury watching that with big grins across their faces.

Just a day before the fight, Wilder himself even agreed with Hearn's assessment of the Gypsy King.

The Bronze Bomber said, per Boxing Scene: “There are a lot of things I don’t agree with Eddie about - I can’t stand that guy - but one thing I will agree with him on is that Fury is a boring guy.

“You never seen in him in any exciting fights, the most exciting fight I’ve seen him in was when Steve Cunningham laid him down on his back (in 2013 but Fury recovered to win).

“Other than that, he’s a boring bloke. But he won’t have to worry about it for long.

“Come Saturday night, as long as he shows up, and give the fans what he want – that is all that is going to matter because I will do the rest.

“He is boring but I will make sure it is an exciting fight by bringing the excitement.”

By the end of the 12th in Los Angeles, Fury had proven them all very wrong.
